Auntie Jean is a fabulous Woman and well-respected Empress always galvanising community action intergenerationally. From sponsoring Makonnen Sankofa and his International Book Shows to budding and established spoken words artists, she will always willingly support and create a hub to showcase skills and talents. I am really pleased I could make it to the market yesterday, which is free entry before 3pm. Auntie Jean's Afrikan Culture Market (ACM), which also incepted "The Garvey Village Social Enterprise", has been long running to support Afrikan small businesses and it has also housed the Revolutionary Minds Collective performing Poetry and Spoken Word every month for a year, focusing on a Great from History and converting their research in poetry. Their next event "Marcus Garvey in Poetry" will take place on Sunday 18th August from 3pm. I highly recommend.
