Coming Home is inspired by the author's grandmother.. 
It is a poetic tribute celebrating the cultural transmission from the grandmother to her granddaughter who lived in Europe, especially through the name she gave her which is the object of great pride. 
Coming home is the second book published in the "Ancestry in short stories" series. Through the lines, we understand that Caro Sika's grandmother is also the last family member to have lived all of her life in Africa. Her generation is the first to have been separated from their children and grandchildren who left Africa to work and live in Europe.
